Attorney A. Clay Graham is an experienced criminal defense lawyer with a background as a Registered Nurse, and practiced for 12 years in this capacity, focusing mainly on cardiology and cancer care before entering the legal profession. He continues to maintain his professional nursing license. He provides legal counsel in criminal defense, DWI, and Represents Nurses across the state before the Texas Nursing Board. As a member of the Dallas County Criminal Defense Lawyers Assn., DUI Defense Lawyers Association, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and Texas DWI Defenders, he maintains the highest level of skill by continuously updating his knowledge of state and case law in DWI legal matters as well as in criminal law. Clay is also a member of the American Nurses Association and is on the attorney “strike force” for the Texas Nurses Association. He has joined with The Law Offices of Deandra M. Grant, PC, and brings impressive credentials and trial experience to the firm.

Mr. Graham was formerly the Case Coordinator for the Innocence Project of Texas, and volunteered over 1,000 hours of legal work in the investigation and challenge for person accused of crimes they did not commit from 2006-2011. He also served on the projects Board of Directors from 2010-2011. His commitment to fighting for the rights of the criminally accused extends beyond the range of his legal practice. He is a zealous advocate for his clients, and prepared to fight for their rights and freedoms at every step of the legal process.

Mr. Graham is a native Texan, and his mission is to fight for justice for his clients in Tarrant and Dallas Counties and throughout the state. He represents registered and vocational nurses who are facing licensing issues or other legal problems statewide, and the criminally accused in a wide range of charges.

DWI AND CRIMINAL DEFENSE

Mr. Graham has represented those who face license suspension or revocation in over 500 hearings at Administrative Driver's License Revocation Hearings. He represents clients in trial for charges ranging from Murder, Gang Violence, Family Violence, Sex Offenses, Drug Possession, and both felony and misdemeanor intoxication offenses. Clay also represents individuals who wish to appeal a conviction, challenge a conviction, as well as persons who are in prison that are seeking parole.

Mr. Graham is sought out by his peers for consultation to review complex medical and autopsy records. His depth of knowledge, experience, and his personal dedication to protecting the rights of the criminally accused is based upon his deeply-held belief that those who are caught in the criminal justice system must have their rights protected, and should have the best possible defense.
