At Deandra Grant Law, we meet many people who have had to overcome real challenges in their lives, and we have great respect for the second chance. The DGL Second Chances College Scholarship supports students who have overcome adversity and are pursuing higher education. The $1,000 award can be applied toward tuition and other educational expenses at the college or university of your choice.

Am I Eligible to Apply?
You may apply for the DGL Second Chances College Scholarship if all of the following are true:
- You are currently enrolled in, or have been accepted to, an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university in the U.S.
- Your college or university education will continue through the coming semester.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- Your current cumulative GPA is at least 3.0.
How Do I Apply?
For your application to be considered, submit an essay of 500 to 1,000 words on the following topic:
Describe a challenge you have overcome in your pursuit of higher education, and how it has impacted your life and your plans for the future.
Email your application directly to deandra@defenseisready.com. Along with your essay, please include your most recent high school or college transcript, a headshot, and your contact information — name, address, phone number, and email address.
