Elizabeth Sample was born and raised in Dallas. She graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Political Science and International Studies before graduating Cum Laude from SMU Dedman School of Law. During her time in law school, she interned at the Denton County 442nd District Court and was selected to be a federal judicial extern in the Northern District of Texas.
In her second year at SMU, Elizabeth was chosen to participate in the Criminal Law Clinic where she was able to represent clients in court on various criminal cases. She was also selected to stay on an extra semester with the Criminal Clinic as chief counsel where she continued to oversee cases and assist students.
Elizabeth started at Deandra Grant Law as an intern after her second year of law school and joined the firm full time after taking the bar exam. In her free time, she enjoys going to hot yoga, spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling, and playing with her dog, Bella.
