Meet Kacey

Kacey Simmons has known she wanted to become an attorney since she was young. Born in Mandeville, Louisiana, and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, she discovered her passion for advocacy while competing on the Frisco CTE Mock Trial Team. That early experience sparked a lifelong commitment to helping others and pursuing justice through the legal profession.

Before attending law school, Kacey graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. As President of the university’s Mock Trial Program, she continued to sharpen her advocacy skills while mentoring fellow students and leading the organization’s competitive trial team.

Kacey earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, where she established herself as an accomplished trial advocate. She served as Mock Trial Director for the Texas Law Board of Advocates, was inducted into the Order of Barristers, and received the Niemann Cup, awarded to the graduating student recognized as the law school’s top overall advocate. Throughout law school, she earned multiple national mock trial championships, refining the courtroom skills, strategic thinking, and persuasive advocacy that she now brings to every client she represents.

While in law school, Kacey gained valuable practical experience through internships with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office and the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. These opportunities strengthened her skills in legal research, case preparation, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy while providing firsthand experience with the criminal justice system.

Kacey is committed to providing thoughtful, strategic, and compassionate representation. She understands that facing legal challenges can be overwhelming, and she believes every client deserves an attorney who will listen, communicate openly, and advocate tirelessly on their behalf.

Outside the office, Kacey enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Camden, playing board games, working on creative craft projects, and spoiling her two pugs, Krisco and Brie.
