What Makes Dallas County Criminal Defense Different

The constitutional foundation.  Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 38.23 is the state exclusionary rule prohibiting use of evidence obtained in violation of the Texas or United States Constitutions. Texas has no good faith exception. When law enforcement obtained evidence through an unlawful stop, a defective warrant, or a search that exceeded consent, that evidence is suppressible and suppression frequently ends the case.
