Kevin Sheneberger Earns the ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist Designation
Deandra Grant Law is proud to announce that attorney Kevin Sheneberger has earned the ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist designation from the Chemistry and the Law Division of the American Chemical Society.

The designation recognizes lawyers who have completed advanced training in the forensic chemistry behind DWI and drug evidence, including how crime labs use gas chromatography to measure alcohol and drugs in blood.
With Kevin’s designation, Deandra Grant Law now has three ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientists: Managing Partner Deandra M. Grant (2015), Partner and Chief of the Criminal Division Douglas E. Huff (2022), and Kevin (2026).
Kevin is a criminal defense attorney in the firm’s Criminal Trial Division, where he defends clients across North Texas. A graduate of SMU Dedman School of Law, he co-authored two chapters of the Texas DWI Manual and the 2023 Intoxication Case Law Update for the State Bar of Texas, and he completed the NHTSA/IACP Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Program in 2024.
In a Texas DWI case, the blood or breath result is often the most important evidence the State has. Lawyers who understand the science behind that number know what to ask about how a sample was collected, stored and tested.
Which county your case is filed in changes how it is charged, who prosecutes it, and which court hears it.
