Jesus Marquez

Associate Attorney

Jesus and his family originate from Mexico; they immigrated to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream and planted roots in Dallas, Texas. From an early age, Jesus had been called to the legal field and serving his community. Jesus attended school in Dallas and graduated from the Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet High School. Jesus went on to study at The University of Texas at Austin where he earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology. He went on to earn his law degree at The Texas A&M University School of Law in 2016.

While in law school Jesus was on the Texas A&M Law Review and served as an editor for two years. He was the President of the law school’s Immigration Law Initiative where he organized pro bono opportunities for attorneys and students to assist the local immigration community. Jesus grew up in a Spanish-speaking household and used his language skills and his passion for service to assist other immigrants in their pursuit of their American Dream.

Jesus is a strong advocate for citizens and non-citizens alike. He has spent his entire career defending persons accused of crimes. Before joining Deandra Grant Law in 2023, Jesus served as an Assistant Public Defender in Dallas County where he served the citizens of Dallas in their pursuit of justice and fairness.

Jesus is dedicated to serving his clients as well as staying ahead of the government’s attorneys through education and training. Jesus most recently attended the Forensic Chromatography course at Axion Labs in Chicago, is a member of the Texas Bar College, and has the distinction of being a TCDLA DWI Trial Warrior.
