I’m often asked how long it takes for a DWI case to be resolved, and the answer is: it depends on where you’re charged.

Certain counties move faster. Their dockets move faster, and the filing and processing of cases moves faster than in other counties.

Depending on the county, a DWI case could take anywhere from six months to two or three years.

It really depends on where in Texas you were charged.
